A história da João Sousa Brand começa a 18 de Outubro de 2018 com a estreia da primeira coleção da marca “Filhos do Lago” na plataforma Bloom do Portugal Fashion.Com uma assinatura 100% portuguesa e uma mensagem artístico-cultural que se manifesta numa linguagem urbana com traços artesanais através de materiais texturados ou customizações nas peças a marca volta em 2019 ao Bloom para integrar a nova plataforma da Semana da Moda Portuguesa, o Bloom Upload, onde apresenta mais 4 coleções até Outubro de 2020. A João Sousa Brand apresenta-se como uma marca de slowfashion que pensa em artigos limitados e exclusivos através da escolha de matérias primas reutilizadas de retalhistas nacionais e desperdícios da indústria têxtil portuguesa. O aquecimento global e a constante mudança do ambiente levou a marca a imaginar um cenário sem coleções Verão e Inverno, mas exibir uma coleção com peças em que podemos usar a qualquer mudança climática que um país tenha.
